DAY TRIPS
Metropolitan Beaches
With 19 miles of sandy swimming beaches from Nahant to Nantasket, Boston Harbor is home to the cleanest urban beaches in the nation. And the best friend whole clams, roast beef sandwiches and hotdogs.
Boston Harbor Islands
Take a sunset cruise to Boston Light, a tour of historic Fort Warren on George’s Island, or a hike to see the spectacular view from Spectacle Island. There is plenty to do in our great island park.
North & South Shore
Celebrate Halloween in Salem with the Wiccans. Experience the Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival on America’s oldest public beach or take part in the Illumination or Endless Summer Festival in Hull.
Waterfront Parks
With more than forty miles of shoreline and an extensive Harborwalk, Boston Harbor is a great place for a walk, a run, or ride. It is also home to some terrific waterfront parks on or near the water's edge, with fabulous views of the city and the sea.
